Two jobs, two valves. Solenoid control valves run on 24VAC and let a controller open and close zones on schedule, which is what makes automated irrigation possible. Flush valves sit at the end of a run and clear accumulated sediment, manually or automatically, so the debris that filtration missed never reaches your emitters.
